1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Dou Inc. (주식회사 도우, “Dou”, “we”, “us”) handles information in the Typebeam mobile and macOS applications and on the Typebeam website.

2. Information the apps handle
- Bluetooth and nearby-device data: The apps scan for and connect to a Typebeam bridge over Bluetooth Low Energy. Bluetooth permissions are required for this core function. The app uses the connection to transmit keyboard, pointer, and compose actions to your bridge.
- Local settings: Device name, keyboard scale, pointer preferences, haptic preferences, connection preferences, compose drafts, and compose history may be stored locally on your device so the app can restore your settings.
- Technical status: The app displays connection state, firmware/protocol status, recent keys, frame counts, and errors locally in the user interface.
- Support messages: If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device details, logs, and the contents of your message.
3. What we do not do
Typebeam does not require an account and does not intentionally send your typed text, compose drafts, or keyboard history to Dou servers. We do not sell personal information and we do not use the Typebeam apps for advertising profiling.
4. Website and hosting
The Typebeam website is hosted by Vercel. The website is a static site and does not intentionally use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Vercel may process standard technical request information, such as IP address, browser, and request time, as part of hosting, security, and delivery. See Vercel’s own privacy notice for its processing practices.
5. Retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it through the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or comply with law. To request deletion of support information or ask a privacy question, email team@dou.so.
6. Children
Typebeam is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the apps.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when the app, website, or our data practices change. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date.
